Claire Hewitt has built a reputation for leading growth-focused development as a marketing communications and development expert in both commercial and not-for-profit organisations. In particular, she has worked to realise new potential for value-aligned brands as varied as New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, King’s College, Rialto Cinemas and the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, securing numerous six-figure, multi-year funding arrangements for organisations like these in the course of her work.

 

Claire's speciality is designing programmes that stimulate change. She has an MBA (Dist). majoring in marketing and encompassing sustainable marketing, project management, governance, entrepreneurship and media, arts and culture (from the MA programme).

 

Claire is committed to supporting the growth of social enterprise in New Zealand. She was a founding Director of Social Enterprise Auckland, which supports Auckland’s social enterprises to transform communities and works to build capacity in the sector.

 

In addition to her professional work, Claire has been involved in a range of social initiatives. Claire loves an opportunity to help make a positive impact, from helping to establish the World Press Photograph Exhibition in Auckland, consulting for a variety of social enterprises in the UK, to serving as a director for the Rotary Club of Auckland.​ More recently, she has consulted for emerging companies such as the construction machinery sharing start-up, EquipmentShare as well as mentoring at Start-Up Weekend Auckland and for Ākina's Launchpad Work programme.

Katharine is a commercially astute and innovative senior leader with an extensive career leading marketing, brand and communications strategy for local and global brands. A collaborative and focused leader, she ran a PR Agency in Auckland for 18 years.

 

As a strategic thinker with natural creative ability, Katharine has a strong track record developing and executing integrated communications campaigns that deliver positive results to organisations, amplifying their brand and bottom line.

 

She is an expert in delivering PR and marketing communications strategy, leading clients through important moments of change, whether it be positioning and building influence or moving and connecting ideas and audiences in new ways. Katharine delivered campaigns for a number of blue-chip national and international brands including Levi Strauss & Co, Frucor, Luxottica, Fonterra, Heinz Watties, Cadbury, Westpac, Pepsi Co, and Unitec.

 

Katharine has a genuine passion for helping businesses marry profit with purpose, working with clients to develop social strategies that connect companies with communities and change behaviours through creative storytelling.

 

Having worked with numerous not-for-profit agencies including Child Cancer Foundation, Canteen, Salvation Army, and Dress for Success and social enterprise Eat My Lunch, Katharine is committed to supporting organisations focused on social impact and sustainable work practices.
